Behavior analysts' should only provide services:
- after defining and documenting their professional role with relivant parties in writing.
- in an equitable and inclusive manner regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender expression/identiry, immigration status, marital/relationship status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or any other basis proscribed by lay
- within their identified scope of competence
When taking accoutability for errors or unmet commitments, BCBAs should directly address them, first in the best interest of the clients, then in the best interest of relevant parties.
BCBAs should avoid entering into or creatin multiple relationships at all costs because they make things messy, toxic, and can harm people. This includes professional, personal, and familial relationships with clients and colleagues.
BCBAs can't get jiggy with (AKA engage in romantic or secual relationships) with clients or stakeholders for at least two years from the date the professional relationship ended.
BCBAs are truthful and arrange the professional environment to promote truthful behavior on others. Be honest, model being honest, reinforce honesty, and correct instances of dishonest or inaccurate submissions #NobodyLikesAFraud
BCBAs find appropriate study, training, supervised experience, consultation, and/or co-treatment from professionals competent in the new area and document it. None of these are available, you gotta refer or transition services to an appropriate professional.
BCBAs can't get jiggy with (AKA engage in romantic or sexual relationships) with supervisees or trainees until the date the progessional relationship ended.
Don't give or accept gifts from clients, stakeholders, superisees, or traninees with a monetary value of more than $10 because it can create conflicts of interest and multiple relationship
